A Garden Consultation is a 1 hour meeting with David Baptiste at your home or business which provides the opportunity for David to discuss your ideas and evaluate your gardens potential.

During a Garden Consultation, David will give you constructive and creative direction that will help you consider any problems you may be experiencing in your garden. His knowledge and experience means that he can formulate several alternatives that can enhance your garden requirements and take them to the next level.

David will help you develop your ideas, by assisting you to think laterally about your garden problems while also helping you consider the best way to use your garden's available space for your individual needs.

You are welcome to write down the ideas you develop with David or he can if time permits, jot down in point form or do a quick sketch to illustrate any of the ideas discussed. Please note a Garden Consultation does not include detailed plans or a written report.

The fee for a 1 hour Garden Consultation is $150 including gst.

A Garden Consultation can provide a general feel for what you are looking for and help to develop a theme for your garden. However, to truly refine and define the garden layout, David Baptiste can prepare a detailed Garden Design Plan drawn to scale.

A Garden Design Plan will allow your ideas to be developed in detail. Enabling you to get a better idea of how the practical and aesthetic can be combined to enhance the overall result.

Step One: is the drafting of a Preliminary Design Layout - in which the ideas discussed during the initial consultation and any subsequent ideas, are overlayed on to a scale representation of your garden. These are then presented to you for further discussion and refinement.

Step Two: once all elements in the preliminary design have been considered and agreed upon, a Garden Design Plan with details of paving and structural layout, plant species and other outdoor features is drawn up.

With a Garden Design Plan, you have the option to use this detailed plan to do a staged construction of the garden yourself or commission David Baptiste as your Landscape Manager to source quotations from contractors and to oversee the development of your new garden - 'on time and on budget'.

David Baptiste has over 25 years experience in landscape design and construction and is able to access professional tradespeople to carry out the completion of work on your garden to achieve the highest standards that he demands.

Quotations are submitted for your approval for each aspect of the work to be completed, which David then oversees throughout the project - from the turning of the first sod to the placement of pots and furniture on your new terrace.
